What’s the Difference?

Comment {1} Published in Journal, Life & Noteworthy.

I did a 20×2 “presentation” in Austin, TX (during SXSW Interactive 2008), which required the participants to take two minutes to answer the question, “What’s the Difference”. Jared Spool kindly uploaded a video he took during the event of my spot:

Future of Web Design, London

Today I am in London for the Future of Web Design conference. In a couple hours (after lunch), I’ll be participating in a live on-stage Photoshop Battle, paired with Hannah Donovan (of Last.fm), and will be going up “against” Elliot Jay Stocks and Jon Hicks. Andy Clarke is commentating.

Am I excited? Of course. Am I nervous? Oh my god, yes.

I believe Jeremy Keith will be liveblogging the event, so check his blog out for updates. Jeremy Keith liveblogged the event. I hear it’s going to be recorded, too, so hopefully a video will be posted online.

Creating Sexy Stylesheets Article

I wrote an article that was based off of my presentation I gave at Web Visions 2007, called “Creating Sexy Stylesheets”. It talks about ways to be more efficient and have better maintainability when writing CSS. Check it out. I also have a domain by the same name, that I use for a collection of CSS-related articles.

CSS 3 Interview

I was interviewed by CSS3.info, and had some pretty interesting questions asked of me, including how I would style a sushi roll using CSS 3. Another great question asked was:

Do you think CSS should be influenced by what is available to print designers and possible using the likes of Quark Express and InDesign?

Check it out!.
